Right, well. That was interesting. And kind of fun, I guess, if slightly terrifying.

I managed to trace Damien Bennett's signature mental trace to Liverpool St Station at about 2 in the morning, where the Knights had set a very crude trap. Seriously, they even left the door open for us with an auto-locking device for when we went in.

Thanks to James Fowles we were able to use another, less obvious entrance, and thanks in the most part to him and Malcolm we were able to turn the table on the Knights just a little bit. Damien Bennett is safe although still unconscious; it looks like he was drugged up to his eyeballs and someone had attached some sort of device to his head - presumably a psychic amplifier to act as bait.

Of the five Knights we encountered, one escaped after being shot in the chest and three are very dead. I don't have much experience with interrogation techniques myself, but I've left the poor survivor in Mal's tender cares, so if anyone is interested I'm sure you can get some answers out of him.

We have also managed to get our hands on some sample technology used by this cell, so if anyone's interested in having a look or adding them to a collection, feel free to ask. Suffice to say none of it is on this plane right now, so should be relatively untraceable for the time being.

Many thanks again to Malcolm for the bang-up cleanup job he's done at the Station - hopefully between his efforts and the Knights' own sabotaging of security equipment the only traces left are of some suitably random vandalism, rather than any mysticism or gunfights.

We can confirm that Damien Bennet's been returned and we have analysed the circlet that the Knights of Purity had strapped around his head. It is, as you speculated, an amplifier of sorts, but we have discovered that it amplifies any kind of aura, not just psychic ones and (this is even more remarkable) it can do so whilst the wearer in unconscious as it seems the needles seemed to be heavily laced with sedatives to keep them in a comatose like state.

Unfortunatly, however, the interrogation didn't go at all well. We suspect something in the Knights helmets, but the captured Knight was dead on arrival. Cat scans seem to imply his brain exploded and turned to mush inside his actual skull, most likely the helmet was built with a remote microwave device to subtley kill the agent incase of capture or possible "contamination" as they would put it.

Damien is in the care of my team who form a designated Science Team of sorts within the Society. He is currently groggy and unable to even stand, let alone think properly at this stage. Before we are willing to let him out, we shall run a few routine medical checks and ask him some questions regarding his experiences since his capture just to ensure he is not brainwashed or surgically implanted with a bomb or tracking device. Regardless of our limited knowledge that these Knights of Purity are Xenophobic, we are still unsure as to how far they will push these boundries for their goals.

I shall report Damien's interview when we have conducted it.

After a few hours medical examination, we have deduced that Damien has not in any way been medically, mentally or surgically altered and, upon full recovery, shall be fit to carry out his investigations if he so wishes. Please bare in mind he has had a terrible two weeks and may take a while before he is fully ready to do so.

We have conducted a short interview with Damien. Here is the report as promised:

HM: Damien, I apologise for bringing you in for this interview after everything that's happened, but I'm sure you understand that this is absolutely necessary to find the members of the Society that have gone missing.

DB: I understand. I shall help however I can.

HM: Please tell me, in your words, the last thing you remember regarding the Knights of Purity.

DB: Not much I'm afraid, it's still hazy to me. I remember Jeremy Klein was able to infiltrate their firewalls and were able to scramble at least some information about our members. Val was noted down as missing on it, however, I remember that, so they are aware that he may still be alive.

HM: I see. So we lose that advantage. Please continue.

DB: The Scholar was captured whilst we were on a mission to capture one of James Black's clones and Jeremy was contacted to broker a deal to get him back in exchange for either turning in myself and James or for him to join them. He met up with them at the London Eye whilst myself and James checked the roof tops.

HM: I see, and what did you find there?

DB: Well I couldn't see the meeting happen if that's what you mean. I suspect some kind of hologram technology of some kind. We found a sniper on the building we went to so they must've been able to see through it somehow, I doubt they'd just point their guns into empty space, especially with regular citizens walking about.

HM: Tell me about this sniper, what was done about him?

DB: It's still fuzzy to me. I think James went to discreetly take him out but his attack didn't even phase him. He seemed to shimmer green. The knight turned and threw some kind of device at my feet, a piercing screech hit my ears and that's when I blacked out.

HM: And that's all you remember?

DB: That's all I can be sure about I'm afraid.

HM: You mentioned you were on the London Eye earlier. Newspapers reported the body of the Paladin were discovered at the base of one of the buildings there. Was the Paladin working with you and James on this?

DB: No. Which papers was this?

HM: Tabloids mostly. The Sun, The Daily Mirror...

DB: Well if James was successful in killing the sniper, I guess he could pass for the Paladin, especially as he was wearing platemail. It's plausable I suppose.

HM: And do you remember being at Liverpool Street at all?

DB: No, not at all. The next thing I remember from falling unconscious was awaking here in the Society.

HM: Thank you for your time Damien, I shan't keep you any longer.
