Mutant chronicle
Rob, Gary and myself are looking to run SCI-FI (MUTANT CHRONICLE) later this year posting to see ow many people are interested.

for those of you not familiar with mutant chronicles, there are five major coporations which run the universe all tech has reverted to steam punk as electronics carry a great price(evil)

kit wise think 1st/2nd world war cross with medieaval so a pair of cammo trousers and a breast plate would work. guns are big and unraliable (looking at painted up water pistols, no water and nerf guns) and swords are used by most sides to deverstating effect

the following link takes you to figure stockist but also gives lots of details about each corporation.

if your interested post on hear

RE: Mutant chronicle
This event will be replacing the 2nd Shadows and we will be publishing details shortly. We would really like a good turn out for this one. Could people take the time to post here and say if they want to paly. Cost has not been completly descided yet but because of the new kit needed and props it will most likely be around the £25 mark. I would suggest to you all contacting Paul to discuss characters and I know Wayne has all the rule books for the RPG which contain Pictures of MC for kit ideas. To be honest this is as Paul says Army Surplus meats Medieal Kit. Swords and Guns, Breast Plates and Trench Coats.

I will be playing a Highlander With Big Two Handed Sword and Side Cannon, In a mix of Tech armour and kilt! On another note this will be excellent for the Group Photo and make the Kit worth getting.

RE: Mutant chronicle
Yeah why not, sounds like fun. Kit will be a pain, and I'll only be able to make it money allowing. When was the 2nd Shadows event planned?

Also, what other things about the setting are there? Villains, does magic exist etc.

Plus, since everyone has reverted to Steampunk, steampowered gizmos etc?

My characters in Seaxe systems:

HMS - Terran Spellguard (Deceased)/Barkskin Twice-Born/Barlara Stormbull
Company of the Helm - Barlara Bretta
Arcanium Society - Damien Bennet
Mutant Chronicles - Jorrick Fieldhausen
Tales of New Albion - Patrick "Patches" Malone

RE: Mutant chronicle
Magic , called the art in mutant chronicles is in the table top game only avialable to the mystics and inquisitors of the Brotherhood

Or you could be a traitor to mankind and use the dark symmetry which is evil magic gifted by the five dark apostles who are

Algeroth is the most visible of the Dark Apostles, being the Apostle of War, and leader of the Dark Soul's armies of undead legionnaires and other monsters.

Ilian is the first of the Dark Apostles to appear, known as the Mistress of the Void. She is powerful in the magical arts of the Dark Symmetry, as are her servants.

Demnogonis is the Lord of Disease, spreading filth and contagion everywhere he goes. His servants prey upon the wounded on the battlefields, and concoct new infections and plagues to introduce into the worlds of humanity.

Muawijhe is the Lord of Nightmares and the Lord of Insanity, tormenting the dreams of mankind with horrible nightmares that may very well eventually become reality.

Semai, the Corruptor and the Master of Lies, seeks more subtle ways to undermine humanity, by turning brother against brother, and using the tools of the humans against themselves.

RE: Mutant chronicle
Okay guys, just a heads up, the weekend is in October I believe, as it replaces the shadows one.

Storyline wise it looks like an awesome bit of fun, and i must confess after seeing mutant chronicles the movie, i had very little interest in playing, but after researching into it and asking people the storyline seems absolutely amazing.

Paul's hoping for a pretty humble but solid attendance for this one, and I think if you really want to get an oppertunity to role play an awesome concept of a post apocalyptic future which still has swords and archaic weapons, then this is for you.

RE: Mutant chronicle
As to my character, I will be playing a Bauhaus Templar (Hopefully) With Sword and Modern Teutonic looking platemail Armour. This itself will be a mix between my usual kit of platemail which seems to be worn by some Bauhaus higher uppers, and modern technology like Vulkan Cannon.

This game seems like it is not to be missed! Especially at the usual cost of £25.

I think this calls for adapting my scurvy scum rifle...
A scope and a magazine possibly...
Based on some sort of cloth wrapped around barrel arrangement to make it optional...

RE: Mutant chronicle
I've got an idea for a character to play, wanna run it by you guys...

Jorrik Henrikson who is essentially a Germanic scavenger/engineer, using whatever scrap he can find and adapting it to armour or, in rarer case, weapons. He carries a battle axe as a weapon.

My characters in Seaxe systems:

HMS - Terran Spellguard (Deceased)/Barkskin Twice-Born/Barlara Stormbull
Company of the Helm - Barlara Bretta
Arcanium Society - Damien Bennet
Mutant Chronicles - Jorrick Fieldhausen
Tales of New Albion - Patrick "Patches" Malone

RE: Mutant chronicle
Hi peoples well hear goes

Date: October - Shadows Event 2 ("changed to mutant chronicle Mars") - 23rd - 25th

location: Cherry wood scout camp

Cost: £25:00 player (plus a passport size photograph
12.50 monster crew (cover the cost of camping and food)

weapons:

Modern firearms ( BB guns with NO AMMO these will be allowed but likly to be unreliable due to their age will do minimal damage)

Nerf guns Ammo is allowed these will be speacial rounds and do more damage)

water pistal please paint and make look the part

toy guns these gan look very authentic

Melee weapon: must be larp safe and will be check before time in.

props will earn bonuses, i.e tools for you charater Daren. or medical equipment for a doctor medic.

the bigger the gun and more sci fi it looks the more damage it will do, with damage comes a price, the more damage a gun does the longer it takes to cool off ready to fire the next shot.

The Arts (magic) as wayne said to access the arts players will need to be members of the brotherhood (church) with this comes. the only other option to to accept dark gifts these are avliable by spending charachter points but must be agreed with a ref before hand as you must offer something in return ( IC if you are cought with a dark gift the liklyhood will be that the players kill you before the brotherhood do so be carefull.)

any other question please post on hear.

Darren if you are lloking ad german stile kit this woul make you a Bauhuser.

player information i have the other corporations but have not yet proof read them (not saying the ones i have will be any goodlol)

let me know if you can help i will send them to you

Cheers

Paul

RE: Mutant chronicle
The passport sized photo Paul, does that need to be of our character or us?

Also, this Bauhaus deal, how do they dress? WW German style or can we be a bit more free on the "Dress code"?

RE: Mutant chronicle
hi Daren

ok photo IC if possible if not as plain as possible ie button up shirt.

with regard to bauhuaser. think german military from the first world war onwards so normal cammo would work, this is if you are military if you are not a military person then you are welcome to wear as you see fit. just because you work/ are part of a corporation does not mean you have to be a soldier.

hope this helps cheers

Paul

RE: Mutant chronicle
Cheers Paul, I see Jorrick as less of a soldier and more of a specialist that works as part of a corporation. I think I got an idea for my costume now - I have a pair of Steampunk Goggles and I'm looking into a nerf gun, so...

RE: Mutant chronicle
Darren, come be Hauhauser with me buddy, Rebekka is interested in playing a female Commisar type in a cat suit, riding crop, gun, and sword, with commisar type hat, I'm going as a Teutonic knight templarish look which are in Bauhauser.

Bauhauser are sort of prussian, so they sort of have a mix of germanic, russian and scandinavian influence, so you're team punk viking hat and goggles etc would work especially if you wanted to play a specific in the bauhauser corperation (i.e mechanic type) As far as i am aware, all people involved in corps are military like usually, so, in all likelyhood you could be a military mechanic? Just a possibility, i might however be wrong.

Dave - I love your character, Russian I assume influence wise?

Myself, Will be Teutonic but Prussian / Russian with an Arian typical german twist.

Paul, is there a chance i'd be able to be a test tube baby (long story short) on behalf of Bauhauser as a specimen of its enginuity to build the perfect Bauhauser soldier type? I know this is a bit of a difficult question as technologically its probably a no no, just seeing if it may work or not.

Max.

Unfortunatly the hat in my picture is covered in signatures and doodles, lmao, though I might use the goggles on it. I quite like the idea of being a German though, so I think I'll go with that, I already got a look coming.

I've also been looking around for ideas RE guns, since Jorrick will probably have a gun as well as his axe. Might be a bit expensive (well, roughly £45) but these are some pretty awesome custom nerf guns you can get which would probably do really nicely for Mutant Chronicles:

http://uryaennerf.blogspot.com/

I'm not entirely sure if the mods are "LARP safe" but they're an optional anyways.
