Hi guys,

Seaxe's tabletop games mostly revolve around RPGs however we do have a spattering of Board Games that come out on occasion, or round people's homes. I've been going to a monthly board game club in Colchester and have played lots of good games and some I'm not so fussed about!

Last night I played my favourite one yet. So I thought, "Why not throw this open to all other Seaxians for their input too!

So this thread is for people to provide the name, info, a link and maybe a small photo of the box/game in question. Describe it in 100 words or less then give it a two line summary of why you like or dislike it!

I recommend searching http://boardgamegeek.com/ for your game and post that link etc here.

"In Tales of the Arabian Nights, you are the hero or heroine in a story of adventure and wonder just like those told by Scheherazade to her spellbound sultan! You will travel the land seeking your own destiny and fortune. You will learn stories and gain wisdom to share with others. Will you be the first to fulfill your destiny? The next Tale is yours to tell! There is, of course, a winner in Tales of the Arabian Nights, but the point of the game is less to see who wins and more to enjoy the unfolding and telling of a great story!" (BoardGameGeek.com quote)

As a child I had one of those books where you started at a location, read the paragraph describing things and then you were given two or three choices such as "If you open the wardrobe to see what the noise was, turn to page 104", or, "if you jump out the window in fright, turn to page 107", or, "if you hide under the bed, turn to page 57". It was an Asterix and Obelix game book, but that's not important.

What is important is that I loved it and really should have bought more like it. Well "Tales of the Arabian Nights" is basically a board game of the same sort of thing. Totally worth the money (if only I had £40 to spare!). ***** (5 stars out of 5) in my opinion.
