Subject: Mystery murder

To my fellow members of the Arcanium Society. I have recently been handed the Jane Stone Murder case that took place in the Docklands only a few days ago. Do not worry, this email has been encrypted with top security.

Usually this would be a case for the police to handle, however, after having a while to browse through the evidence, some things don't quite add up and I believe that it may be a case we may want to look into, but I can't explain properly on email... I will need to discuss this personally so I can show you, I believe that is the best way.

Please make haste, I can only hold on to the evidence for so long before it needs to be transferred out, but prehaps we can make sense of it all together.

Speak soon.

Detective Damien Bennet.

OOC Wrote:Okay, I got this great idea for an adventure stuck in my head that seems to always be growing, I was hoping a bunch of us could meet about the 2nd May to do a table top adventure on this, I'll be using the D20 modern system (since it seems the closest I have for what I want to do). Only 2 problems here:
  1. I can't have it at my house because my dad and his fiance don't really want it, plus there's hardly any parking in my area.
  2. I'd need to know character sheets before hand, which means people would need to either roll their characters with sheet in hand beforehand or tell me the gyst of it and I'll make it for you.

I'll probably be starting every character at level 3, so it's a nice head start but not too far.

Dear Damien Bennett, I would be most interested in helping you in this matter, as long as of course that Dr William Kain does not need me in matters of importance.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Val Elwood

OOC Wrote:Hey Darren, we could probably do it here, that would be no problem!

Depending on when and how many, but generally i'd be happy to host it.
Damien,
I know the area pretty well, some old "friends" live down there.

I might be able to help out.

Why not do it as a LARP around the Docklands for a day?
OOC Wrote:I would but there are a few things that kind of limit us there... first off, it's a privately owned property and has always got security and business people roaming it, so that'd make it a pain in the ass. Secondly, there will be alot of things in this game that'd be much better in a table top than LARP (though I won't give too much away). Thirdly, there might be IC travelling involved.

However, now that you've said that, I am really intrigued to run a Arcanium Society day event, just for fun. I'll look into this if Gary's happy with that...

Oh and to Max, thanks man, grand idea. I'm gonna try and aim for the first saturday in May for this since everyone seems busy every weekend this month.
My fellow compatriots,

I'll be happy to help in any way I can. Just let me know the time and the place. We seem to live in interesting times and I seem to be seeing a lot of them.

Yours sincerely,

James Black III
OOC Wrote:Awesomeness, I'm looking for about 3-4 players for this game.

If people are interested, I'm going to craft some computerised character sheets which I'll type up on the computer, don't worry I'm putting it in a format I can modify for level ups and stuff. If this goes well I wanna try running a few other one off games (Maybe come up with a series of different cases so people can just join whenever rather than have an on going campaign).

I'm basically using the D20 Modern rules, so for all those who have the rulebook, you can just generate a character and lemme know the details so I can update the sheets. Regardless, the stats are the usual STR DEX CON INT WIS CHA stats. We're rolling 4D6 and removing the lowest for each stat. Just lemme know what items your characters have and I'll fit them in.

If you don't have the rules, message me some details I might need to know and I'll compile a sheet based on that and the character bio you have in the relevant forum. I'll show you the sheet before you accept it so you can change and tweak it to suit your character's personality.
OOC Wrote:Hey buddy, first saturday might be tough in May as thats my actual film premier. I'll see what i can do but that might be a little difficult!
OOC Wrote:Yeah it's proving difficult to alot of people. I could run something later this month, but we'll have to arrange something. I'm free every weekend until may after this weekend, so...
