My dear, my life goes as normal, Elizabeth is speaking to me again, I expect yet another reconcilliation is imminent. I have have been asked to join the House of Lords National Security Select Committee, as assistant chair obviously, with my connections it would be silly to do otherwise. I had a couple of entertaining days playing the market, all rather profitable, well for me anyway.
As for the riff-raff, apologies I mean the lower eschalons of the Society, as you know, I do try and keep my distance. Apparently they have been playing hero, with limited success. Their idea of subtle leaves a lot to be desired, bringing attention to their activities, both within and out of the Society. Most regrettably they seem to have drawn the attention of the Knights of Purity, you remember the loathsome fellows who feel that it is the sacred duty to keep humanity pure from the influence of the unnatural. Hopefully they will be able to keep things under control, rather than needing assistance from my goodself.
I must say they do have a rather vaulted opinion of themselves and their abilities. Saddly this opinion does not extend to those more established members. One could almost say that they need a lesson in proper etiquette. I feel, however, the good Doctor would rather disapprove of my particular teaching methods.
I do hope that your vacation was profitable, by which I mean obviously that your spirit was enriched. I have spoken to Baal, as I suspected he was most entertained by your description of him. He even smiled, which is a rarity these days. He has suggested that the two of you meet up soon, for drinks and possibly one of your discussions, he tells me he has a lot to talk about, so expect an extended session. I am sure I fail to understand half of what you youngsters mean these days. He is quite busy at the moment recording, but he is certain that he can find time in his schedule for your little chat.
Well my dear, it appears that I have a certain Mr Cameron on the telephone, again. So I shall have to draw this to a close. By we really must chat again soon, by which I mean talk, Elizabeth really does disapprove of the other kind of chats. She really is a stick in the mud sometimes, I suppose she is simply just a child of her age and class. Please let me know of any developments and when you will be free for my young ward.

I hear from those of our society who know about such matters that some of the societies memebers may have been captured by a sect of the Knights of Purity.

I've not heard from Dr Klein for over a week, which is mildly disconcerting as we have been pooling research for a few months lately with daily contact between us. He is not picking his phone, and no one appears to be at his house right now.
I believe there were a small number of Society fellows who have been taking him up on an offer of hospitality he made recently, and I have not heard from any of them either. I was going to investigate myself, but if there are others who have been neutralised by the Knights of Purity then I will certainly proceed more carefully.

My deepest apologies for not contacting you sooner, however it is with regretable outcome that I have been infected with a Vampiric disease, I believe the affects aren't permanent, I hope, however this has left me rather a sight not for swore eyes, and further more, continuinly hungry, in a way which is quite obvious.
Because of this, I have chosen to remove myself from contact, until now with fellow members of the Arcanium Society as I don't wish to bring bad fortune or problems towards other members.
Unfortunately due to this my connections to the divine, including my Sword, and Platemail have all become something which cause me agonising pain to hold, I cannot utilise my natural affinities to the divine, to cut a long story short, my whole world has been turned upside down.
I believe the only advantage of this situation right now is the Knights of Purity have no idea where I am, or if I even exsist, as i am sure you are aware by the news paper reports rumours of "The Paladin's" Death have hit all tabloids.
Finally, i offer my up-most apologies and sincere regret that I have not been available to work regularly as your bodyguard and chauffeur, but becomming what I have now is a smeer on my good name, and something I cannot bare to see any other member of our good society to witness.

Damien Bennett's safe, at least, and we should be able to find out where the rest are. Slightly terrifying fight against men in plate mail wielding machine guns to get here, but a good result in all.
Practical experimentation seems to indicate that the knights armour and glowy shield thing doesn't stop you from snapping their spines.
I do how ever need to find something that's more effective against armour. Trying to get up close was an "interesting" experience.
Rest assured Dr K, I cleaned up all the evidence from the fight and Douglas checked for tapes and stuff. So we're ok on that front.
New guy is pretty good too, bit over confirdent maybe.
