Update on the current situation
There are a vast amount of Daemons protecting the king inside the prison on top of that there is a barrier of strength that of a god or close enough too it around the kings prison cell, and if that was not bad enough the soul forger sward is in the hands of the creator / owner of the prison it is curantly sitting on his matle pice…
The King’s cell key is in the hands of the warden or was on the last excursion there..
Many others other than the king is trapped there, these include; - Callis - Emez - Skrag - Bofor - Susan Ravensing and maybe other’s I am un aware off if so I do apologise..

In all honesty, its all very good being patronising and ignorant to those who aren't in 'the know', but I personally don't find this very constructive.

i do alpolgise for any disturbanses that may have occored but i did not know of any other way to reach as meny of my allis/allis of the king other than this witch is what i have done, please all try and hinge your anger on this mistack
we need to concentrat on what i have said before and suckseed in the retreavle, after we acumplish that you wish to speek to me about other matters then do so then but as for now please all concentrate on the task in hand..

It is generally common knowledge that our enemies can read the leylines. Therefore, it is generally common sense that certain messages with sensitive information need to be warded.
After placing a general ward I explained who to go to in the future as plainly as possible. After leaving a day for something to be done after the hints of two well known compatriots.
I would say it was constructive criticism rather than patronisation. I also wouldn't consider them ignorant at all.

In the future please feel free to ask me advice should something like this come up again. I would definitely recommend the Druids Council as a first port of call however. It would still be a good idea to talk to them now about more specific controls on this leyline

Without meaning to remove the point of this leyline missive, I'll state some simple facts. If it was 'common knowledge' then why are so many people as of late or still as its been seen doing as such? Valcore has said he had no idea of such was happening, and several other people have been victim to this lack of knowledge.
Essentially, what Valcore did was with the best intensions, and rather than reacting with "When will they learn indeed", perhaps its prudent that the Mages, or those who are 'in the know' (Such as yourself) as you would say in common tongue, teach the populace of such, which as thus far, as far as I am aware, not been properly performed, this sort of knowledge or information should be expressed, or taught, or common knowledge on behalf the Druids, or the Mages, don't you agree? Thus far, as far as I can remember, the only individuals who have informed people of the conventions and rules to ley messages are Sir Rake Croworthy and Lord Dyfrd.
So, perhaps the question is, why is the populace or more specifically, important members of the Kingdom so ignorant to how to perform proper ley messages, and why has the Mages Guild and Druids guild done so little to teach this, or stop this from happening?
Please don't take this as my words in oposition to you my lady, just I wish to avoid chastising the ill informed, due to those in there rightfull guilds not performing there duties.

With respect I assume you are not suggesting that Field Marshal Tilsburg spoke out of turn, since he was the first to complain that our security had been compromised again. Valcore, did little wrong the information he gave out will be in the hands of the enemy already, either they hold these people, or the Kingdom proclamations will have made the most sensitive information public knowledge. What Valcore did was ask that people contact him or the Magus Supreme, naively he did not state to contact him privately.
Why would anyone assume if they can read these messages that no one else can? If you broadcast your intentions, you broadcast them, if you send a private message then again that is what you send a message which is private.
Personally I feel this kingdom is weak, within the ranks of the People of the Dragon ignorance is not an excuse, broadcasting of sensitive information in a time of war is a capital offence. It would appear that you elves are even weaker than Britannia, condemning not the transgressors but those who seek to reinforce the rules.
I would suggest that any who are unsure of proper conduct during a time of war contact the druids, the guard or heed the words of the Field Marshal.

can some one tell me the events leading up to the imprisonment of the king and his companions as i seem to have very little information

To Marshal Tilsburg, I'll try to inform you to the best of my ability, however a lot of my knowledge is not first hand. I will also be putting this rather simple, and avoid procrasting.
Of those I am aware who attended (who aren't captured) are the following.
1. Mhorodor Kael.
2. The Elven Healer Imaris.
3. Valcore.
-Events-
For your Perusal.
1. The adventurers approached the portal without knowing where to go, what to do, and had used up all there insights looking into the where abouts of where the item in question needed was, leaving them with very little other options in Carsia.
2. From here, attempts to negotiate with the Inhabitans of Carsia (or rather, the Hoardlings) failed, attempts to come to a peacefull resolution failed, either they did not offer something substantial enough, or diplomacy lacked someone cunning enough to bring about a resolution which did not involve combat.
3. King Welf grew in patient and charged ahead of the party, by himself and attacked a group of Hoardlings, before people could react, he had engaged in the enemy which out numbered him and successfully defeated him, dragging him away.
From there, with very little leadership, and King Welf Captured, things grew worse.
4. They fought there way in, and were given a choice either to save the King, or Take the Book.
5. The King told them to leave and take the book, so they did so, and attempted to leave.
6. On the retreat, Bofur, Skragg, Emes, Calis, and Lady Sue were run down and captured, essentially because they didn't stay together, someone shouted 'run', so they did. Rather than tactically withdrawing, and fighting there way out together, a huge majority was left behind to die, or be captured. Long story short, they all ran away seperately, and didn't protect each other.
7. From the knowledge I have assertained, it is believed that Imaris then closed the portal behind them, meaning the way to Carsia was sealed shut, and any attempts to recover them immediately, or send in a recovery force was made nigh on improbable.
