An update for those who read these forums but not the Fate's Dawn ones - unfortunately Gideon didn't have enough prepayments to be able to pay the deposit on the site (which they demanded unreasonably early, but then it's an airsoft site not a larp site), and is currently looking for another site.
The event is due to run on May 15 – 17th: who's planning on attending this one?
Want to but its not looking good due to other commitments
Doesn't that conflict with the Seaxe event? Or have I got my wires crossed?
Hrrm, that would certainly class as a prior commitment. Still, more Hero Points for you, Gary!
Salute my fine friends,
The MoonShadow Traders and the Court of the Moon send you greetings!
We believe we have something of importance to the Clans and Peoples of Fenrik, something entrusted to our safekeeping, something sundered and now sought.
The last piece as it where.
We are, as you can probably tell by our name, traders.
We have something you want and we are willing to part with it.
Before any of you get any silly idea's (down Bentic) you should know that I have had it hidden and no one will be getting it unless they complete certain tasks for us.
Now, of course, we will be wanting some sort of restoration for keeping this item for so long, nothing as crass as money, but a gift, the more interesting the better, will go a long way to swaying our decision.
Off course we couldn't give it to someone on purely monetary basis. So there will be a number of events held through the day.
The person must be able to protect the throne, so there will be physical tests, races, combat, group combat (to show that you can lead as well as swing a metal stick about).
Intelligence: games of intellect will be played, as well as competitions of wit.
Oratory, a king must be able to sway the masses, who can move us. tell stories of times past, make us laugh with song. So tale telling will also be tested.
There is one last thing though: we are a wandering people, without a home of our own, so which land would be willing to accommodate us? We are not willing to go to the Fort, it smells of ghosts, so either Bargate or Tillia must offer us hospitality.
Which is willing to do so?
Of course, we could always choose to host the event, killing two birds with one stone. What do you think, guys? Worth losing an event to cement Fishwhip as High King?
Under normal circumstances I would not mind doing this however I am running several birthday rituals and adventures at this event as well as a Vaagan special.
I feel for Giddion and would like to help but unfortunatly my own system and friends have to come first on this one! Giddions more than welcome to attend ours however!
He has a mid level character already with plot still to be realised.
