Hello all.

Just a quick message to say wow what an event! and thank you to Tia and all of her team who brought everything together and put on a superb event. Smile

I especially liked how much effort had gone into the trip-wire and box traps (even though we managed to disable most of those!).

I am shattered and now have to face work. And with absolutely no money left in my account (overdraft maxed) I'm not quite sure how I'm going to survive until payday....argh.

Again - thanks to all who put together the weekend! Big Grin

Greetings and well met,

I also wanted to add my words to the thank you section of this website. I would like to say a very big thank you to Keri-Ann Bates and Tomas Stanfield for all of their hard work. You two work very well together and the end result was a weekend that pushed us all to our limits.

Personally I really enjoyed the Rangers and Rogues Adventure. I was able to play Goraxe as he truely should be played. Actually having to look for real traps and pick real locks was a challange all on its own, but add monsters, magic and a cool plot and it became a real challange.

Although my character is well protected, I did fear for his life and I was forced to use my skills and talents to their full to keep him alive.

I would also like to thank everyone who turned up. It was one of our best events so far and I am greatful for all of those people who did turn up. It is a shame more of you did not get back to us. You really did miss out on something special.

We still have the ritual and interviews to conduct. This will be achieved through another one day event open to those who attended the main event only.

After that we will promote and demote people appropriatly. Apologising after the event will not count.

Till then take care and good luck

Gary
Hi guys.

First of all, thank you so much for everything which occoured, after a swollen ankle, a swollen knee, a blood shot eye which has given blurred vision and pulled stomach muscles, I can honestly say that the weekend of Role Play felt like I had gone through a week long ardious task of LARP.

So much happened in the space of one weekend, yet at the same time there was enough time to role play, enjoy each others company, and most of all LARP!

The encampment was spectacular, as well as the Taven Set up.

The Mage Duel was absolutely fantastical, and I think this has all given me the idea of perhaps running a Company of The Helm - Heartlandic Games event as the competition, and effort put in was absolutely spectacular.

Unfortunately, I was rudely awoken at 9am this morning by DSV sending me a pallet of LARP equipment which should have been there for this one, so i'd like to have said I got a lay in, but i've spent 3/4 hours doing more endurance tests Angry.

To Tilsburg and those which said they are getting too old for this - Nay I dont think you are getting too old, I think the challenges have just been stepped up a notch, both young and old have truely physically suffered, but we all suffered together, and enjoyed the suffering! Smile

I'd especially like to say congratulations to the old guard and older members who went for it hammer and tong, and competed valiantly.

Both Myself, Shaylen and Raziel are probably not on our peak physical form, but we do put a lot of effort into Cardio Vascular activities and Body Building, so, to say that we all suffered, just shows that there's (ALOT) of life in the old bones of the masters yet!

Keeping up with the youngens - I'd like to especially congratulate and salute Dave, Gary, Mick and Paul who all went through it all and succeeded. I utterly sympathise with people who have repetitive injuries, bad knee's or generally injuries which keep comming back.

Dealing with Injuries - I'd like to say a personal thank you to a lot of people, especially Paul and many others, who when I injured my eye (Its still rather bad, i'm considering heading to the Dr's tommorow) were absolutely sympathetic and very kind, no heckling was had, and it felt really heartening to be around Mature company which were taking the injuries of each other seriously.

To Keri and Tom - Both of you excelled and pushed yourself to the limits, Keri you proved the art of delegation is one of the many skills you have mastered, and you kept a straight face in the depths of stress, AND managed to get time to role play Tia. It filled me with wonderment to get the oppertunity to role play with a fellow Eladrin, and to see you playing an elf again! (I've only been moaning for over a year to see Tia again!). Shaylen, the mage duel rocked we had, and your monstering of the Demon was fantastic.

I want you both to know that I feel personally, after that event, I've added another milestone to my life on the Quest of "Living the Dream" and this will be remembered a long side my Vicious Victories of Wolin, Rowing Longships for days, and Climbing mountains without any mountain gear. I truely feel at this moment in time, I can transcend a happy man.

To Mick - We've already said pretty much all that needs to be said, but, as always, my love and honour goes with you, very few men have I met in my life that I can place the word "Integrity" above there name and think " Yes, this truely embodies them. You dearest friend are the embodiment of integrity Smile

I don't think I've ever been so proud of Seaxe, and so proud of those I role played beside. Heart
I thoroughly enjoyed myself this weekend. I also quite surprised myself in the fact that i managed to keep up with the youngsters as best as i could in the physical challenges.
To Calis and Sue the obstacle course was really good, it was hard yet able for everyone to do.
I especially loved monstering for both the adventures but mainly the last one where i got to become a magic user and use magic for the first time as my character doesn't use magic at all.
what can i say such a great weekend i have never known so much packed into one gathering sue john and rob dune brilliant as always .the bar the tests the library all fantastic and a big thanks to all the players who made my and Christine birthdays so special .Keri and Gary you've out done you self's this time and what a great gift thank max and a special thanks to tom who worked tirelessly in setting up and reffing thank you love you all mickie

THE LEGEND LIVES ON
I would just like to add my personal thanks to one and all; it was a brilliant weekend at the end of a very hard and difficult week. I only wish I had forced myself to come down on Friday night.

Thanks again

Martin
i enjoyed playing Neuyru again and had a brilliant time
To quote the mighty Meatloaf, "Two out of three aint bad."

In other words, I popped back to the site tonight (in part to catch up with Buffy from DLL) and went arrow-searching...and found two out of my three lost arrows. Big Grin

Sweet.
