i have noticed something over the past few months its as if the lays are dead, may be the druids are in hibernation or something and i am not picking enything up my end.
or its because the lot of the kingdom are a bunch of cowards and are now hideing yes our enemys can read the laylines, But why does that have to put a stop to our useing it.
it is a tool and a very usefull one at that and if used properly could be infuentual in a war and yet there seemes to be no one that whishes to use it in the end. Our enemys could start too use it which could be a problem.

Well thats my two copper,
Best Regards

May I ask before I enquire further,

who are you? I don't believe we have met.

Gil'Asvhal'dr.
I am Emes Siongulf a cleric of the light and Father Confessor To The King Of Albion simple realy and i do not think we have met Gil'Asvhal'dr.
so who are you then?

Cardinal Emes Siongulf
Father Confessor To The King Of Albion
Head of the Church of Essex
A pleasure.

I'm commonly known as Paladin As'Vhal'dr or in human tongue "Vhal".

I am a part of the Templars guild, although I'd rather name myself as a Paladin, as my duty is somewhat more chastised than the performance of Templars, and I am many things.

I have yet to take any titles in the land of Midgard, although some might consider me an Ambassador of one of the many Heavens.

In regards to your earlier missive, I think the crux of the matter is Cardinal Emes Siongulf, that people are potentially very busy, I for one am quite busy across several multi-verses and different times, so I can only imagine what High King Goraxe Meridian, and others of such illustrious calibre are up to also.

Paladin Gil'Asvhal'dr
Well Cardinal Emes Siongulf,

May I kindly refer to your original statement or missive upon the leyline speaking about in-activeness, it has been five days since my last response and no reply.

"or its because the lot of the kingdom are a bunch of cowards"

Am I to assume you too are a coward like you said about the Kingdom? Or would you care to enlighten me on why you have not spoken. I'm assuming its because you, like many, are probably busy.

Paladin Gil'Asvhal'dr
ahh i am sorry paladin my lay has been down due to work outside a tree fell if you know what i mean and work has had me bogged down i am not like you i do have to keep up whith paperwork and all i must admit not being on the lay has left me in a predicament as it seemes that i have as to say shot my self in the foot.

also paladin i whish to ask you one thing do you know enything about the moon elf's?

Cardinal Emes Siongulf
Father Confessor To The King Of Albion
Head of the Church of Essex
Good so you retract your suggestion Father Confessor? It would have been interesting to see you prove that I was a coward. Just because I have not been gossiping like a fisherwoman does not mean that I have been either idle or in hiding.

Bruder Wen
Cardinal Emes Siongulf,

I would like back up my fellow comrades comments.

As a hunter/ranger I have better things to do than partake of gossip. I have stores to build and preserve for my kindred, before the winter sets in fully. My Vaagen kindred also have various customs to observe, the collecting of the Yule tree is but one. It would be bad for a rural village to run out of dry fire wood during the winter months.

My father Eric Wulfhelm who is the chieftain of the wulfkin has various expectations of me, being the eldest son, and I have many responsibilties to my people. The elders of the community are look after by there younger vaagen kin and not cast out like some other races.

Also do not call me or any of my vaagen brothers cowards if you enjoy the warmth of life, as there is no greater insult to a vaagen warrior. How many Great toothed Northern bears have you hunted and killed by yourself with just a wooden spear?

Wolfbeard
Vaagen hunter/Ranger
Son of Eric Wulfhelm Thorinson
i hope bruder you where not implying that i am a fisherwoman and yes i do retract my statement if enyone whishes to know i just whished to instill some lifeblood back into these lays.
as we all know if they are not used then whats the point in haveing them.

now wolfbeard when i was younger i was a abandoned child as my mother and father was killed infront of me by a sertan lich only the church took me in. My real family name is Darkgaurd and it is a proud name because i whent into the clergy i had to remove it a sad day for me. but my life as you so put it was not easy and will never be easy.

the vaagen are a terific people and i enjoy drinking whith them and being merry whenever i am around them and i hope i have not upset you in eny way as it would pain me if i had as i have fought along side you and healed you meny times you have even seen me grapple a demon to the floor so i hope there is no bad blood between us.

*chuckles* So priest you don’t like the comparison to a fisherwoman? Rest easy, my comment was merely that I do not need to prattle on needlessly about every small thing I do. I leave that to those less secure in their own positions and authorities.

All hail the King of Albion, all hail the High King & Queen of Britannia!

BW DoV
Father confesser, no offence intended but at what point did joining the church force you to give up your family name? I never had to, nor will I ever do so.

Father Umbjeargen korben hanzel dolga dhury aqshyash neth ghur, battle priest of van haggen and high chaplain to the armed forces of the kingdom of albion.
Hello again Cardinal,

I must confess paper work isn't overly something trivial for myself as being seven centuries in age means you learn a little, also fortunately having little need to sleep means I can fit in my regime time to pursue mercantile interests, study of the high arts, swordsmanship and of course that of the divine, while conducting my practice of archery during the early hours and 'paper work'.

As to my knowledge of moon elves, to put it simple, yes I have some knowledge, my current love interest is one, but being a Divine being of Alfheim we often find ourselves with countless partners over the centuries, but I am hoping this is the one I will be forging eternal companionship with.

I'm not aware of what you need information for as such on these people, as myself and my Kin are rather secretive with our customs and arts, but I am sure I can help in some small manner.

I'm also sorry to hear of the current weather conditions you have been facing, none the less, as usual I'm glad to hear that I'm yet again in-variably correct.

Vhal.
Ah well greetings and well met one and all,

It would seem that this discussion is the kind which I really enjoy getting involved in. I have just left the great libraray after spending some time research the carious planes which connect the various realms of the cosmos. did any of you know that the Astral Plane, links to all other Prime Material Planes? Well did you? No I thought not. I also discovered that their is a plane of Light and a plane of Dark aslo known as the Positive and Negative energy planes. I came across reference to two planes which link or touch the negative energy plane, the plane of Nightmares and the Plane of Shadows! Have any of you ever been to visist one of these planes before?

Well as to the clergy giving up their names, it is true that in the old church of the Brohn, a Brohn gave up their family name so that thye could truely devote themselves to the work and will of the light and distence themselves from their families political and material concerns. I am amazed that more people are not aware of this fact but then I suspect few of you are students of History and Theology. I of course am interested in both, been a Scribe-Mage from a Mhainite Heratige.

My family have been linked with both Adventurering, Magic and the Mercanery careers for just a long time it is difficult to think of one of us not been linked to these trades in some way. In fact now I think about it whilst many of us do have secondry guilds in various fields almost all of us are either Adventurers, Magic-Users or Mercanaries. Now I am of course a Scribe, Mage and Mercanary who happens to have many adventures especially since I became a Diplomate!

Now it is as a Diplomate that I have had the most fun and adventures, this has allowed me to travel around the world and learn much of other cultures. It has also allowed me to indulge my hobby Arcanology, the study of ancient magical civilisations and artifacts! Well I culd go on about that for ever and a day. Well it would seem like forever and a day to those who where listening any way.

Now it would seem here in Albion the Esi are on the assent and are looking towards Lord General Tilsburg to help rebuild the Mal-Rashee and unite Humanitiy under one banner. The Brohn, Mhainites, and to a lesser degree the Kaldron have embrassed the new race and look forward to becomming the Mal-Rashee. The Vaagan have been the least keen to take up the new 'Old Time.'

Well with the non-humans looking for Atlantis and both growns the New Humans and In Humans having to work together in order to bring about the new age and undo the damage of the ages past. How they will achieve this I do not know but already NATO grows strong as the pease and stability within its memebers boarders and between its members has allowed Trade to flourish and for the excnage of ideas to move along at a pace.

King Welf has acted to bring Albion under control in his iron grip and with his Father and Mother watching approvingly from afar he seems to be building his own court and taking his people in a direction which suites the prophesy and the cosmic powers.

What of the new gods, little has been said about them but they are present. Cardinal Junta is now the Leader of the United Church of Britiannia and he has started a programme of rebuilding as the existing churches are added to and rebuilt to better suite the new powers who in some cases are the old powers or ancient powers in new outfits. What does the Cardinal have to say about this as he is one of the council of Cardinals who support Junta?

Well i have said much and said little all at once and it is time for me to sit down with butter, bread and graps and eat, drink and be merry whilst asking my apprentices where in the nine hells are they and what have they been up to!

Your servant,

Troy Addius
Mae Govanaen Troy Addius,

You sir have perked my ears somewhat with what has been said, very interesting about the negative realms and positive, this makes much sense.

On an entirely separate note, will we be seeing a Mages Council or day devoted to them next year? Without meaning, or intending to over step my mark as a rather new member of The Guild, but if individuals in The Guild are too busy to run one, I'd be more than willing to arrange a gathering upon a Saturns Day or Day of the Sun.

I personally think it would be very beneficial to get a "Rituals 101" or "Components to Rituals 101" performed by yourself, or someone of equal reputation and standing in The Guild, with perhaps the perspective of people learning at the gathering, and then upon a later date, mock or practice rituals are performed, and graded with constructive criticisms from superiors and what can be done to improve them.

Obviously this might not sit well with some people as work or 'effort' isn't on many's agenda, but I personally would be over whelmed with happiness to learn a thing or two from my younger aged kin.

I personally feel emphasis needs to be placed on the importance of successful rituals, and the importance of ---NOT--- doing improvised rituals unless you are highly trained and capable.

If this suits you Troy Addius, I'd be more than pleased to listen to your advice on Rituals, and to have you hand pick a Ritual 'team' or 'group' to show an example of a well designed ritual, so that others in the guild may learn the importance of 'props' and other finer things which often go forgotten.

I am very appreciative of being part of the "Illuminati" of the guilds (as for-seen by many I can imagine) and hope to see some of the most intelligent minds of the Kingdom at such gathering.

If I have over stepped the mark by saying so, you have my sincerest apologies for my almost obsessiveness to learn, and self improvement.

In Academic Friendship,

Paladin As'Vhal'dr.
Troy Addius is correct when i joined the church which was the Brohn church we had to give up all our ties to land and so on to live a life close to the light and at that time the troll lords.
Paladin Vhal i know a moon elf personaly and i am serching for some infomation on certan things important things i have been to difrent places to help her but to no avail. that is why i was asking you if you knew of them.
to tell you the truth Troy Addius i had no clue about the other planes well i know a little of them but not as much as you i can tell but i have been to the plane of shadow, etherial plane and the plane of light before interesting places the plain of shadow is one that i whish to forget the most out of all of them.

Cardinal Emes Siongulf
Father Confessor To The King Of Albion
Head of the Church of Essex
To Cardinal Emes Siongulf and Troy Addius,

I see, is your friend un-well and unable to perform the tasks herself? Or is this some sort of favour or boon from yourself.

While I am an elf, and one of the most illustrious entities in this multi verse,
I cannot mind read, and unless I know specifically what information you are looking for, I'm afraid I cannot help you.

The Moon Elves are generally quite pleasant aren't they? I'm very fond of Midgard High Elves myself, even though essentially, due to the fact the 'Elven Cities' Vanished for a long time, and the in-herrent connection between Fae, the Divine, and of course Angellic and Celestial beings, there's a lot of conjecture over if in fact elves are from Middle Earth, or Midgard as it may be known, or if some Elves are, and some are the off-spring of other worldly celestial beings. My beliefs are my own in, and fortunately they aren't foolish enough to mean I'm the only person to believe them, as it seems we can't "bundle" the entire Elven race into one category, from my perspective and studies, there seems to be three types.

1. The Middle Earth Elves: The elves which through what ever means were born and created on Middle Earth, like the wood elves, these creatures are often more "Physical" in body and more connected to the world of Middle Earth Physically, as its there realm entirely, there home, much like Humans and Middle Earth Dwarves.

2. Outer Plane / Higher Plane / Extraterrestrial Life - These are elves which are born or from other realms (so as an example the water realm, or air realms, or divine realms, in some strange way, some of these are seen as "sphere's" much like Midgard, but also some are entirely flat, and seem to be almost worlds in between worlds, sort of like the mortar between two bricks). Or, as an example Alfheim, which for me to go into, sort of ruins the fun of where the realm exists, but very few people have access to this place, and I believe one of them was Lord Neuryu Darkspring as his knowledge of Astronomy was quite vast. I do believe he attempted to travel "In the stars" but his original experiments proved in-conclusive. I'm sure with Asgardian Techno-wizardry it may have all been possible, or even just more time, or even just the discovery of some first Era Technology, but unfortunately fate decreed his time was over (for at the very least, this realm) - I will state now he is greatly missed, he was the most punctual and sophisticated daemonic entity I ever met.

To use another example, the Khuul, now I believe I heard an interesting rumour that these beings in original form weren't actually made from the worst of Brohn and Vaagen blood (with some other horrible bits in between, like some sort of inter-racial / inter-species orgy sandwich) but ACTUALLY originated from the moon, or an location similar to that, and weren't ancestrally from this realm. However please don't take my words on describing the Khuul as entirely my own, I've been reading a few books on the origins of the Khuul, and obviously not being from this realm, many things are utterly alien to me.

3. Migration - Many elves have migrated from other realms to this one, who started in another location entirely but have come to settle else where, this can cause problems as often the spirit is attuned to one realm, and it can take some entities many generations for there spirits and bodies to adapt to existence in a new location meaning there 'soul' so to speak claims it for there own. I wont be going heavily into my own personal matters, but this is one area which on middle planes, has caused me a lot of 'frustration' to say the least.

Thank you for reading, and I might say Its always a pleasure Troy Addius to meet a fellow man who can procrastinate with such magnetism and authority. I personally feel so many people of this realm are only interested in hearing 'the short version' and this in my educated opinion is useful but also a hindrance, as those un-willing to listen to a story, or talk about matters in full only show there lack of patience, or lack of capacity to use the language this land gave to them to the fullest.

In Academic Friendship,

Paladin As'Vhal'dr.
Cardinal Emes Siongulf,

As long as you did not call my fellow Vaagen or myself cowards then there is no offence taken or to be answered to, and consequently any bad blood between us.

Anyway gentlemen and gentle'elf, if I may use the term Paladin As'Vhal'dr without causing offence to your good self. I hope your preperations for your respective winter celebrations are going well.

One that note I bid you a warm and safe winter, Hael Baldur!

Wolfbeard
Thank you Wolfbeard, you have my gratitude.

As to Baldur, interesting you speak of him, have you ever been in the presence of the Agsardians? I've been fortunate enough to meet Young Baldur, but I'm unsure if he is still young now, or actually old, or if this was a "personification of him" trapped in time, or heavens knows what else, as you see the Asgardians command great power to create worlds and potentially destroy them, which means by obvious levels many of them seem to be able to take many personifications, therefore I'm unsure if his presence was meerely a ruse to fool the enemies of great evil, or if it was truely him in 'true form' as it were.

Unfortunately I have yet to meet the King of the Asgardians, Baldurs Father (or Zoni is that what they are calling them here now? Or am I mistaken?) as I was right at the back of the delegates sent from Alfheim to present our annual Tribute as a tradition past down from the times when Freyj was given Rule over Alfheim as a teething gift and to take his rightful seat upon his grand Mithril throne when he came of the correct age, fortunately Freyj is very fond of us, and we too fond of him, as being around us for quite some time, he has taken on somewhat a "Alfheim" like persona, and seems to almost be the most Elven of all the Asgardians, he's very fond of Alfheim silk, and from being around Alfheim magic so long, and the Tree of Ygdrassil that in itself can be considered one of the greatest "Gods" of the Multiverse, his ears even have rumoured to have taken a little 'point' and his face narrowed (much like ours) but this is conjecture, and unless Alfheim is returned to its former glory I don't believe we will be seeing our grand Asgardian Patron ruling any time soon.

As to Freyj himself, I do believe he knows well of Midgard, and in some form once spent time inhabiting this land in "Mortal" form as it were, thats if you could ever truely call him mortal. From there his seed scioned and created the great ancestry of a Monarchy north from Dhainite, and they hold great pride that Asgardian Blood flows through there veins, tracing there ancestry back to him.

In friendship,

Paladin As'Vhal'dr.
Paladin As'Vhal'dr,

I have not had the honour of meeting Baldur or any other of the Asgaardians (zoni if you wish). However I have conversed with Baldur and some of the other Asgaardians. It was by the will of the Asgaardians that I am the bearer of the berserker sword.

I have had the honour of going to Asgaard, in particular Valhalla with my fellow Vaagen. The gods were not there though. Baldur chose me to represent him in the realm of Midgaard, for what I do not fully understand at present. With time and by the light of Baldur's wisdom, I'm sure my path will become clearer.

I have heard of the Dhainite's claim to being in the bloodline of Frey. As part of my family lineage is crossed with Dhaineland, as well as Norsica.

This is a conversation for another time though.

Your friend and comrade,

Wolfbeard
Dear Wolf Beard,

Thank you for reading, I'm glad at least someone is! Over seven centuries of life I've been pleased enough to have read many books and have met many people, fortunately enough I haven't squandered much of my life and have been given many opportunities to excel, often my words go ignored because they are rather long winded, but you honour me son of Midgard by listening.

I was not aware of you bearing the Berserker Sword, this is delightful news to myself, as you can imagine, the 'Bloody minded' attitude of the Vaagen is somewhat difficult for me to contemplate, which is why it honours me to know I work with them, as they can do many of the things I cannot. My lineage and heritage, basic moral values and up-bringing just wouldn't allow it.

You are the voice of Baldur here? How intriguing, I was not aware of this,
none the less I am over joyed to hear it, he is without doubt the greatest of the Asgardians.

The concept of "Gods" however is rather interesting, as I suppose an entity coined a "God" is based on the concept of power, and how many people worship him, as well as how long the traditions of worship has been going on. I often notice that the longer a tradition has been followed, the more Dwarf, Human, and elf alike follow such traditions as being sacred or almost even "Holy". Now however back to the point of "Gods" to the Vortan, a "Dragon Lord" is considered a "God" however to another Dragon itself, they will probably consider it rather a "Lord" or a King in equivalence, because Dragons powers are quite majestic, and quite long living, time is different in the eyes of those who live a long time, or who are immortal until slain, so its difficult to define the concept of a "God" to a Dragon I suspect, and I probably suspect many of them would consider themselves one, or at the very least say as such to humans. This is similar to those of Alfheim, where a lot of people pay credence and homage to an intelligent life form known as Yggdrassil.

We of Alfheim often find that instead of religion as seen upon Midgard, its rather a veneration of fallen heroes, believing there life upon Alfheim and great deeds venerate them in the next, allowing them to become a concept of believe, or a "embodiment" of belief that the Ljosfarjar hold dear. Generally speaking we have this, and then the study and veneration of the prime materials of everything, especially the "Light".

So in essence what you often get, is a very large Temple, with an entrance way into the centre, of which is lined with perhaps 20 statues of heroe's of times past, which all stand for something, these are all well maintained, respected, and gifts and blessings placed upon them, or there essence is called upon in times of need. Within the temple itself in all likelyhood is Astronomical referances to Alfheim and its place in all things, its connection to the prime magical elements of what all living things hold dear, with perhaps a statue paying respects to the Aesir when appropriate. Within the centre of the temple will be, quite often a conduit of power, or a Monolith, or very rarely a large tower, of which will be the centre point of everything combining the worship of our greatest Eladrin of light, the prime materials, our allies, and so fourth.

You will notice however that many of these statues are forged out of things known as "Living metal" commonly formed in a similar substance to Silver, and if they are very significant and large, Mithril. This knowledge itself was perfected by an ancient pact with the Asgardian Dwarves who are without a doubt un-matched in there capacity to forge and smelt raw materials, however when it comes to the greatest of understanding magic, the enchantment of particular items which aren't forged (such as crystals, or cloth and silk) and some other parts, Alfheim is un-matched, so when you bring these skills together, you often find something very very special, as essentially what we make cannot be done without the aid of the Asgardian Dwarves, well it could be done, but not to the standards the Aesir or ourselves Desire.

Anyway, I've perhaps said too much, and I'll leave it there!
