The force of riders approached the tower. There were twenty or so Dragon riders, twenty local militia and ten of the Kings Black Dragon Knights.
The riders noticed a detachment of fifty infantrymen of Vasildon marching down the road from the Manor house They waited for the men to catch them up then moved on.
Upon reaching the tower patrols are set-up around the perimeter, a group of 10 guards placed at the entrance to the tower. The rest formed camp with guards posted.
DUNGEON MASTER INFORMATION: The Water Tower which has the rune of the Mages Guild on. It looks like it has not been opened for some ten years.
The patrols report some activity beyond the perimeter during the night. They could not see who or what it was, as it was beyond the light of their torches.
Pagent Merryfellow finished reading the reply he had been sent from Baron Wolfbeard concerning the Tower. He wrote a quick letter asking the Elementalists to send a representative to the tower , then called in a messenger. " Take this to the Elementalists and tell them its urgant ". Then he went back tot he library and continued looking through the guild records . " wonder why we left it unmanned for so long" he pondered , hopingt he records held the reason
A herald of Vasildon arrives with orders from the Duke, they tell the unit to be on standby to re-inforce the attack on the enemy in Wickford. The troops prepare the camp so it can be broke in thirty minutes if the call comes.
Ah yes the Water Tower, well yes... why are they left unmaned well thats a simple question and so I will be able to give you all a very simple answer. The Towers and their are many built all over Essex is areas where their are no lakes or low reserves of water. The point of them is to suply the people in the local area with water for their crops and for them to drink. They where built just after High King Goraxe became King of Essex. They where left unattended because they do not need people their all year around. The rooms where added for during times of war or when long term repairs where needed to be carried out. Now there has been no enemy action in the heart lands for 10 years and the reports by the mages sent to check on it show it needed no repairs. The process of checking requires 1 hour and can be carried out from outside. Now if anyone wishes to make an issue concerning the towers we could always charge the local nobles and their tenants for the use of the water they hold or we could remove the towers if said local lords no longer wanted to use them. However the tower does its job and it has functioned perfectly for 10 years so please let things lay as they are. If people do want to make an issue of the water towers we could always make an issue of it back. Not threatening anyone but just letting you know our position on the matter.

Troy Addius,
Water supplies for the region, ah...that is a noble cause. Very well thank you for an answer on the subject.
I ask that the tower is check for interference, as damaging the water supply is a good way for any enemy to effect the population. If this can be done by our troops if thats save time, then this is an option. Also that the rooms are checked for any stashes. As the enemy may be using it as a cache site.

Denrune,
With regards the water tower it was not a noble cause but common sence employed by the King and his Noble for Langdon at the time.
If the seal is still on the building has not been molested. In order to enter you will need a Mage Guild Member of Master rank or higher to enter. If the seal had been broken in the past an alarm would have rung in both Valisdons Mage Guild and at the main guild building in Tilia.

The soldiers checked the seal, it was still intact. So inline with the orders received from the messanger that arrived earlier that day 30 of the vasildon troops broke camp and marched off towards the village of Beacon. The twenty dragon riders went back to their patrol duties.
This left 20 militia and 20 vasildon infantrymen in palce at the tower.
The 20 militia and 20 vasildon infantrymen broke camp and headed towards the church, where they were to re-inforce the guard already in place.
