Recently we have noticed that some of you are trying desperatly to expose yourselves and the hidden world we inhabit to the modern media by using your gifts, powers, talents and abilities as often as possible and with little or no thought to the long term consequences.

May I remind you that the Arcanium Society whilst not a hidden or secret organisation is a respectable one with a good reputation and a secret side to it. We and those who fund our organisation do not want us to cause a back last against us especially with the Darkness comming.

We have already had several reporters, private investigators and a group of the Knights of Purity try to find out more about us. The last one cost us a great deal of trouble. So I am issuing a warning to you all. Do not leave a mess in your own back yard, if you do you may well end up sleeping [for a very long time] outside.

I concur with Doctor Kane on this one, whilst I'm trying everything in my power to keep the press and the Met Police from marking up any suspicion, it is getting harder to do so with so many odd occurances happening. Fortunately, for now, the Tentacle Demons I have spun as a bioterrorism threat which the press have bought, and the Brain Swarms in Saint Thomas's Hospital was merely put down as a severe spider infestation blown out of proportion by fevers caused by MRSA... yes, crude lies, but ones that have worked none the less (The media will gobble anything up nowadays).

Please, for the sake of what we do, do not arouse suspicion and do not take advantage of my position if possible. I'm on the Society's side, but this is also my life and job that I'm dicing with as well, and if this last line of defense is shattered, then all hope against the chaos caused by this mysterious darkness will surely wither away.

Really children does this need to be said? I mean the 'Paladin' honestly, what were you people thinking? We are not children and some of us have been doing this long enough to know that working from the shadows makes things easier. I enjoy my privacy and will take the necessary lengths to ensure that this privacy is maintained. I trust that I am making myself clear on this subject.

I will not see the Paladin understand "your terms" for any consideration Malcolm, unless you don't think much of the understanding you have with me and the rules I've had to bend to keep the Met off your backside. Either that or you can attempt to fight off the force by yourself - real subtle.

That is, of course, if you can find him. He's been missing for the past week.

As to the Met and the media, leave them to me, I can take care of their stories. However, the MI5 have caught up to us already on one mission and they're suspicious. Four of five of that team were killed, luckily not by us and we were seen to leave the area with that particular squadron before their demise and, whilst that's a tragic loss, fortunately wasn't linked to us for that reason. But now they've seen three members around a scene where strange goings are happening, we have to keep our noses clean.

On the plus side, as long as certain members of the Society (I'm not mentioning any names) don't keep talking whilst I spin a cover story, I should be able to at least delay any hard evidence they have on us.

Ah Malcom, you seem to be under the misapprehension that I was in some way making a request, allow me to enlighten you I was actually making a threat. Unlike some not only have I been dabbling in hidden matters for some years, I have an active real world life. If any of our younger members, be assured I know exactly who is involved, bring any unwanted attention into my affairs I will resolve the issue permanently.

Damien, you do a bang up job of watching out for me and helping out the rest of 'em too. On the other hand mate, who jumps when you need help? Who helps you out with your little problems? I think your a good bloke, so I ain't got a problem helping you out, but be fair, I return the favour.

Lets be clear here my pedigree chums, the dwarf and the pally have been about as subtle as a brick through a window. They need to keep to the shadows, they need to get taught a lesson. Maybe it'll get handled with words or maybe it'll be fists, but things can't go on as they are now. Or we are all f**ked.

[/align]Malcolm, leave the Paladin and Burlock with me, I've seen the Paladin duck in the shadows when needed, and the Dwarf is having some bionic legs constructed to make him look normal sized (from what I hear). To be fair, the Paladin did kill an Illithid Hive Mind who was going to drain my brain dry of, well, everything. I'm thankful to him for that. You have helped me too, but I don't want you and him fighting because it's going to be hard to make that "Subtle", it'll throw things into more chaos and the in-fighting will give the forces of the dark an attack of opportunity. We need to be vigilant.

Besides, we're essentially working for the greater good. I'm covering up these stories for the Arcanium Society too, if our operations are blown out into the open, it jeapodises our position and we might be shut down, then the whole world will be thrown into chaos. Protecting our operation is my ultimate goal, but I'm doing it for the sake of the members too, and I dare say without the help of various members, I would be dead by now.

Coming to Lord Richard's stance on the matter, I don't particularly agree with the threats, but I agree with the train of thought behind them. We need to work together and be more discreet, some of us can help hide our secrets but if other members, I dunno, bulldoze half of London and leave it for us to tidy up, it just ain't going to happen no matter how hard we try.

If I had another solution to this scenario from Lord Harlington's, I'd suggest it, unfortunately I don't. I refuse to hurt another Human being, including Lord Harlington, so if he decides to sort this out his way, I will not be inclined to get involved, I'm merely trying to get everyone to see eye to eye with us.

Fair play to him, Pally does the business when it comes to killing sh*t, but he doesn't blend well. I get the feeling that he likes the lime-light. Worst case scenario wouldn't have me kicking his arse down oxford street mate, believe that.

I'll give Burlock a hand settling in if he needs it, figuring out how to do normal stuff and that. But he seems dead proud of being a dwarf and I can't see him keeping shtum on that subject.

Bear in mind Damien, neither of them is human... They don't think like us, don't expect to understand them.

Bottom line is that you can trust me to stick to the shadows. I've had a bit of a windfall recently, so I won't be troubling you to keep me off the Met's radar for mundane stuff. Might be able to help you with some info on previous associates.

Last night we recieved a coded message from a fringe group of the Knights of Purity claiming responsibility for the death of James Black we have rerason to believe that the rest of you are in danger of attack from them.

Although mortal and extremly [some would say Fanatically] mundane they are well versed at fighting those of us with gifts or extra natural talents.

It would seem that the actions which I warned you about have cost us one of our mebers. Please, please heed this warning and be more careful in the future. If you wish to investigate this unfortunate death then know you have the Societies backing however the board would prefer a low key intervention.

The Knights of Purity are an underground organisation which promotes human purity. They are a type of racist which unifies those humans of different races, creeds and colour.

They believe that non-humans and humans with links to non-humans are the bane to humanities existence and blame almost all of humanities set backs and travesties since near to the beginning of creation.

There members believe in personal training, human achievement however they loath mutants, those with mental or supernatural powers and even pity cyborgs. Most of their members are normal humans who have trained hard to strengthen their bodies and minds.

They do believe in science and technology but not in playing with humanities genetic code or adding technological parts. As such their members are hard to detect and blend in with a crowd. Most are very fit and mentally capable and this affords them some immunity to mind magic’s and spells.

The equipment they carry also help to even up the score between them and us. We have clashed with them several times in the past and present however because they operate as cells and factions we have never been up against the combined might of the entire organisation.

In this case we again seem to be facing one particular group. Be careful, do not under estimate them and watch out for their traps they will want to expose you for devils and with some of your previous exploits this may well happen.

First of all, to address Burlock, calling me a "Foolish Manling", in fighting will only give these factions that oppose us the upper hand on us, so I suggest we stay focused on the situation at hand. Besides which, everyone in the Arcanium Society seems to know what you are, I doubt me mentioning your new invention would do much, I doubt without the knowledge other members would suddenly turn to say "Hey, the Dwarf's had a sudden growth spurt". I thought I should bring it up in your defense rather than let other members kill you in your sleep.

No problem Burlock, don't mention it.

As for the Knights of Purity, I'm guessing these guys will be laying traps at every turn from now on. They likely know all about several members, it would even explain Val's disappearance. Unfortunately, we know jack about them or their agents.

I suggest all missions from this moment onwards are taken with the highest level of caution we can.

I wish to thank all of you who have given them for your kind word in regards to my grandson. He was a fine boy and I am proud to have known and taught him and seen him grow into a fine man. If I can be of any help at all please don't hesitate to ask. I am currently at my main estate in Africa trying to deal with all the paperwork this unfortunate event has brought upon my family. I for one will do all within my power to see thoe responsible for it punished as they should be.

Mr Bennet, my grandson seems to have held you in very high regard jut as I did your grandfather. If I can be of any help to you in your investigation just feel free to ask my boy. I trust this matter is in safe hands with you.
