LAYING DOWN THE GAUNTLETT!!!
TM

So you have put yourselves forward to take part in "Gauntlet!!!" House Thuranni's forray into popular entertainment following the closure of the Sharn's Arena last year. You will enter an old Dwarven mine on the outskirts of Morh, which has been repaired and stocked for "Gauntlet!!!" with a variety of beasts and condemned prisoners. Each participant will be followed by a scrying orb to record events as they unfold.

Any team member returning to the surface without the target item results in disqualification.

Any item found within the Gauntlet can be used by participants, the organisers reserve the right to keep them afterwards.

The shortest run will win their choice of one of the target items in addition to their fee for completing the "Gauntlett!!!" Current record eight and a half hours.

While participants are not required to kill obstacles a bounty will be paid for spectacular and heroic actions.

Healing, regeneration and resurrection available at cost.

OC
Game rules:

The Party
You are an established group, you may not all have known each other for years, but some of you may have done so. Write up a group history.

Skill point Maximums
As I loath hard maximums on skill levels please ignore these, its entirely possible that you have decided to be ridiculously specialised in one area. Just beware of all other areas.

Shamelessly nicked from Darren, as I erred on the side of caution previously.
Ability Scores:
32 points to spend on your abilities, all of which start on 8. Everything up to 14 costs 1 point each to increase, then 2 points each up to 16 and finally, 17 and 18 cost 3 points each

Races and Classes:
Any race or class you want from any 3.5 setting. Specific requests for stuff that does not have an official PC stat line, ask and I shall write one.

Material from wider DnD fan base:
Got the "Big Book of Feats"? Use it. Anything that is not broken is fine by me. Examples of excellent stuff I like include, improvised weapons proficiency and team fighting feats.

Equipment:
Magic is relatively common, but expensive in Eberron. You will have a certain amount of gold to spend on equipment prior to the game. This can include custom made equipment and weapons. If you can not find the associated cost of enchantment ask me.

Multi Classing:
Ignore the multi-classing penalties. Benefits do not stack, only the highest bonus.

Personally, I'd like to try doing this on the first weekend of August, prehaps the Sunday 2nd August?

What's everyone else think?

I just realised you and Max train on Sundays. Saturday would be best for the majority, I was thinking of a day everyone might be free. I think someone might end up missing this regardless of when we do it unfortunately 'coz Wayne can only really do that weekend, all of Emma's Saturdays are booked until September and you and Max train on Sundays.

Bloody awkward lot you are!

Actually i train on sundays ... max just spends time looking at himself in the mirror ... if the majority of folks can only manage it on a sunday then i will step back since there is no point rying to change the whole thing for just one person Smile

RE: Gauntlett!!!
Well, to tell the truth, I think me and Troy (Troy being the most important person to mention here) are the only ones who are quite flexible on this. As far as I can see, it's just a pain slotting yourself, Max, Emma and Wayne in as you guys have lives, lol, so I'll take a step back and let you guys have a talk amongst yourself as to what day would be best for you guys.

Anyways, here's my character:

Auldrik Lupus
Shifter - Longstrider

STR: 12 (+1)
DEX: 16 (+3)
CON: 12 (+1)
INT: 10 (0)
WIS: 14 (+2)
CHA: 9 (-1)

HP: 48 (If rolling for HP), 62 (If maxing out HP)

Fighter 4/Ranger 2
Chaotic Neutral

Base Attack Bonus: +6
Fortitude Save: +7 (+1) = +8
Reflex Save: +4 (+3) = +7
Will Save: +1 (+2) = +3

Feats (Including Bonus Feats): Weapon Focus (Javelin), Weapon Specialization (Javelin), Improved Initiative, Point Blank Shot, Far Shot, Dodge, Track

Skills: Climb 4, Jump 4, Intimidate 2, Handle Animal 4, Survival 5, Move Silently 5, Spot 2

Class Skills: Favoured Enemy (Aberration), Wild Empathy, Combat Style (Archery - Grants Rapid Shot whilst wearing light or no armour)

My characters in Seaxe systems:

HMS - Barkskin/Barlara Stormbull
Company of the Helm - Barlara Bretta
Arcanium Society - Damien Bennet

Hehe. Part of the reason I'm so busy is I have 4 game groups I go to. That's why it's more important all of you can agree since I'm the awkward one.

Sounds good to me if that sounds good to everyone else.

Troy, do you have an electronic character sheet I can note my character on? No matter if you don't, I can sort something out, it'd just be easier, lol.

Sorry mate, but I will try to get one to you.
I'll need people to confirm places quickly though, so I can get an idea of numbers.

I know that Disco is a strong possibility as is Chris.

It'd be very helpful if people would also note down the race and class they plan on playing and whether they need any help with character creation.

RE: Gauntlett!!!
ok i will be honest . i joined the table top thread when Darren said he was doing a forgotten realms
and then somehow it ended up Troy doing a eberron which as times gone on ive relaised ive no interest in doing . This is no insult to troy but i was really up for a Forgotten realms .

Therefore running the gauntlet on a day to suit me would be pointless . However Emma has shown an interest so doing on a day she can make it would make more sense .
