Winter Shadows Grow, the Wolves are Running.
Gary will be running four One-Day Shadows events over the winter at Langden Hills (the november date is still to be confirmed). They will all be linked and the title is "The Wolves are Running".
All player levels welcome, party size is limited to 12. £3 to play. Good, Neutral and Lawful Evil Alignments allowed. Free to monster.
The Adventure will be starting on the Kemp side of the Mountains. I am looking for at least 12 monsters in furs, blacks, greys and browns preferred. A mixture of weapons. Members who monster three times in a row get to play one game free, they also get 50% character points. Please let me know if you can play or monster. All four adventures are part of a mini campaign. Wear warm kit and bring plenty of food and drink!
Nov 26th 2011 ~ Dec 10th 2011 ~ Jan 21st 2012 ~ Feb 18th 2012
Gary has chosen Saturdays but we can change to Sundays if necessary. Saturdays tend to avoid clashes with other LARP groups at the hills. These dates have been chosen so as not to clash with our other events namely the Banquet and our winter days out! Please one and all let Gary know what you think, as there is room to swap some days to a Sunday if that is better for the majority. (Click the last sentence to go to the forum thread)

Please be aware we have had to change our 2012 event dates. These changes where unavoidable and we hope we have given you enough time to re-book your holidays and apologise for any problems this might cause you.

Event Dates 2012
There are 6 official events for 2012: Four H.M.S. events; a Company of the Helm (CotH) event; and one special event which will be Mutant Chronicles Mars.
Due to the nature of MCM it will be happening in the middle of the year rather than in winter, and the CotH event will be a tough-adults only winter adventure.
Seaxe will also be attending the Colchester Oyster Fayre and the Templar Fayre.
It may be possible to book the site for other events. Please contact

Seaxe's first H.M.S. event of the year was a brilliant success. Here are just some of the awesome things people have said about it:
- "I was awsome!" [Skrag]
- "...cheers for a great event even if we did magically neuter a country.
. Thanks for running a fun and engaging event yet again!" [Damonroth]
- "Thank you Gary and everyone in Seaxe for a fantastic time. It really did feel like a giant family!" [Epostile]
- (on the subject of what happened to ireland....) "Elves, Sam. Elves happened to Ireland" [Sam/Mentsguard]
- "...Terry, its your first event and you've been attacked by your own guild for speaking ill of them, caused a portal to the Wyrd elves to be re-opened, AND you've killed a Wood elf, and an even rarer Alfar Elf of the Light - ALL in your first event, you are doing well sir
Keep this up and we might need a system re-start!" [MaximusVonBracey]
- "I had a fantastic event, although I did make the horrible mistake of letting important people notice me being competent." [BigJono]

Seaxe's second H.M.S. event of 2011 was an even bigger success than the first!
We had a multitude of new members playing, bolstering the Goblin encampment, introducing a brothel to the gathering and providing new blood and new viewpoints!
Here are just some of the awesome things people have said about it:
- "...a great big thank you to every one who helped make the weekend such a fantastic one. Great LARPin and so much thought and effort went in to the the gifts you gave me. I love you all." [Tilsburg]
- "...it was great to run a full adventure by myself...for the first time
I had fun giving out "healing sweet" side-effects, especially making Epostile think he was a pig, and the Privateer Captain into a man! LOL " [Bifford / Nevyn]
- "...a big thank you for all the players roleplaying at the weekend, it was fantastic, the refs and monsters were pretty badass as well
."[Hamish]
- "I've been staring at my keyboard for about ten minutes trying to think of all the people I'd like to thank and the list keeps growing. If that isn't the sign of a bl**dy good event, I don't know what is." [BigJonno / The Prime Minister]
- "After not being to HMS for two years, to come back to an event that clearly left people speechless was the best thing to happen." [Sarah / Celestine ]
- "I have never had so much fun with oily hands and a crowded tent
." [Beffy / Charlie]
- "The rituals were as fun as ever, especially any that involved Barkskin…. A 33.33333% success rate isn’t that bad! ;-)" [Evil Ref / Dave]
- "Oh and thanks guys for killing me, loved it!" [Christine / Now dead Half-dwarf, half Vaagan]

Galvin Selman, Head of the Gem Cutters and Jewellers Guild"
Seaxe's first Shadows and Sorcery one-day event was a brilliant success. Here are just some of the awesome things people have said about it:
- "My first Seaxe event and I dont think it could have been any better. Although I'll not be putting any nice looking pebbles in my satchel over my groin again... too close for comfort!" [Epostile]
- "...a great one dayer, was most enjoyable, and very challenging as a shadows should be." [Paul/Rengard]
- "It was a great day and certainly one of my most enjoyable LARP experiences..." [BigJonno]
